Aho’Rajanaka,

 I hope this finds you well.  Gone fishin’.   Like Pogo.  Remember him?  Everyday it seems I look more and more like'im.


For hearts, ideas and inspiration, rest and contemplation, and reclamation of soul.  We’ll resume regular programming come September.  New Sessions, we’ll get another chance to take some chances, land on the familiar and turn it unfamiliar, see what happens when we take up the new and unexplored, when we go deeper into the forest, to the ocean bottom, to the vault of the sky.  I hope you find some time in these next few weeks to replenish and inspirit yourselves as I hope to do.  Some people vacation from work, I vacation so that I can do a bit more work.  I promise to bring you what the journey brings.


I want to urge you not to be deterred or concerned but to drop in yer' life-fishin' pole. Take a seat. When it comes to our Sessions, not by tuition or time, by all the busyness of the world or the tremors of discontent that shake our souls in this perilous age.  We can, we must, we willwork it out.   There will be recordings will be available any time.  Download and listen while you commute or when you need to step from the world that storms and burns and journey into the heart, wherever that goes and wherever it takes you.   The Archive is vast but don’t let that daunt you.  Pick up one Course, one Session, one recording or set of recordings at a time.  This life of learning is little by little and again and again.



Remind yourself: the heart’s domain is vast, like the horizon that manifests without conclusion, the beauty always stands right before you.  We need that beauty, that prospect of imagination and self-inquiry, because we are human and should remind ourselves, because meaning is created and can’t merely be acquired, because in troubled times we have to keep looking forward even when we might prefer to turn away.  We’re going to be here for each other. 


When I’m asked occasionally what is Rajanaka---is it a body of teachings, a method of learning, what is it?  I think of what Appa said to me.  Rajanaka is being present for each other, it is an invitation to share our gifts and to offer what the soul yearns to feel and to know.  Sometimes that comes easily, other times it is a struggle.  But we will be there for one another, and you are welcome any time you can come.

Saturday, December 16, 2023   Aho’ Rajanaka,   I hope this finds you well.    I spent this past week at the office with students talking about their final papers, due at the end of next week.    I will give them to the very last minute.    Get on with it, I tell them.    They would have to petition the Almighty Itself to get an extension and that dude does not have tenure, at least not in  this  department.    Let’s wish them well, ‘cause like the rest of us, they’re going to need all the help they can get so long as it’s  not  from AI or ChatGPT.   We’re leaving for India on December 27 th .    It’s been a few years, what with pandemic and the world ablaze.    I’ll offer a Daily Pilgrimage Diary, and with any luck publish this as a podcast each day of the yatra.    Come along.    I tell you about the gods and the folks we meet and our fellow pilgrims.    Word has it we’ll be having baby Krishnika on the bus---Babu and Bharathi’s new baby girl.    It’s a family affair.    Please subscr
